Ise Shrine Inner Shrine

The enshrined deity is Amaterasu Omikami. After crossing the Uji Bridge, wash your hands at the Isuzu River's washroom, take a deep breath, and calm your mind before praying. The beauty of the green trees and flowing water is sure to cleanse your soul.

Ise Shrine Geku

The enshrined deity is Toyouke Omikami, the god of food, clothing, and shelter. Please pray quietly at the main shrine. Be sure to also visit Tagamiya, Tsuchimiya, and Kazemiya, which enshrine the rough spirit of Toyouke Omikami.
